We offer many types of breast prostheses including:

External silicone breast prosthesis. This prosthesis is made of silicone and designed to represent the body’s natural breast tissue, in both texture and weight. Because the external silicone breast prosthesis is designed to weigh the same as the natural breast, it is helpful in preventing shoulder drop and poor balance. Although it is considered a permanent form, it is important to note that generally a silicone prosthetic has a two-year life span, and it should be replaced every two years during the annual fitting.

Non-silicone breast prosthesis. This non-silicone prosthesis is normally made of foam or fiberfill and is much lighter in weight than an external silicone breast prosthesis. This form can be worn right after a mastectomy as well as during exercise, swimming, and in hot weather.

Attachable breast prosthesis. This breast form can be fastened to the chest wall using adhesive strips. The self-adhesive back that attaches to the chest offers the added advantage of eliminating shifting problems sometimes associated with standard, non-adhesive forms.

Partial breast prosthesis. Also called an equalizer or enhancer, this prosthesis can be made of foam, fiberfill, or silicone. It’s designed to be worn over a woman’s own breast tissue to create a fuller appearance after a part of her breast is removed, such as with a lumpectomy.

Swim Breast Forms. Breast forms made specifically for swimming enable water to easily flow through and retain shape.
